Day 1: Arrival in Kigali
On your arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be met by your safari guide who will transfer you to your accommodation. After check-in, you will have a briefing on your itinerary and later enjoy a tour of the city, including a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Center.
Day 2: Golden Monkey Trekking
After breakfast, you will be driven to the Volcanoes National Park, where you will start your golden monkey trekking adventure. This trek is one of the most fascinating primate encounters in Africa, and you will get a chance to observe these rare monkeys as they jump from tree to tree. Lunch will be served at the lodge, and in the afternoon, you will have an optional cultural village walk to learn about the traditional lifestyle of the Rwandese people.
Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking
Today, you will have an early breakfast before driving to Nyungwe Forest National Park for chimpanzee trekking. Nyungwe Forest is home to over 500 chimpanzees, and you will have a chance to track them in their natural habitat. After the trek, you will return to your lodge for lunch and a relaxing afternoon at leisure.
Day 4: Departure
After breakfast, you will be transferred back to Kigali for your departure flight. Along the way, you will have a chance to stop at some of the local markets and craft shops to purchase souvenirs.
