Enjoy your safari to Uganda while visiting its national parks and lakes. Start your first day with the drive to queen Elizabeth national park that is located in kasese with 1978km that protects diverse landscape of tropical habitants including the open waters and swampy shores of lake Edward and lake George. Visit lake mburo in kiruhura district that supports a cover of open savannah and woodland dominated by thorny acacia trees and lastly Bwindi Forest impenetrable national that is shared by three districts i.e., rubanda, Kanungu and Kisoro district for magical experience with the gorillas.

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala or Entebbe to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Transfer from Entebbe queen Elizabeth national park, the tour guide will pick you up for a drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park with a stopover at the equator in Kayabwe for equator crossing experience where you will do this practically by putting your own two legs on the northern and southern hemispheres respectively, take magical and memorable photos for a life, have lunch en route then continue with the drive to the park arriving in the evening. On arrival, you will check in at the lodge, relax and have dinner and overnight stay at the booked lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

 

Day 2: Morning game drive in Kasenyi plains and afternoon boat cruise a long Kazinga channel.

Today you wake up early. A little before sunrise coffee, tea and donuts will be served in the lounge before we head out for a long game drive in time to see the first rays of light. You will search for all the wildlife in the park and are likely to come across elephants, buffaloes, lions, waterbucks, leopards, Ugandan kobs, and many warthogs. In the afternoon you will take a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel which joins Lake George and Lake Albert. Here, you will see a lot of hippos (more than you can possibly imagine) as well as a variety of other animals which come to the waterhole to drink or bathe. You can expect to see buffaloes, crocodiles, bathing elephants, and a wide range of beautiful birds. This will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of your tour. After the boat safari you drive back to the lodge through the park.

 

Day 3: Another morning game drive in the Ishasha Sector and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

On the third day of your trip, you have breakfast then head out to the Ishasha sector in the southern part of the park. You spend about 4 hours on the drive-in search of tree-climbing lions and any other mammals. After the game drive, you have lunch in the Ishasha sector. After lunch, you embark on the transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Arriving in the evening hours, you check-in, refresh, have dinner, and spend the night at a prior booked choice of accommodation in Bwindi.

 

Day 4: Mountain Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Batwa community tour

After an early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing on the rules and regulations for Uganda gorilla safaris. During the briefing, a total of 8 tourists are given to a single gorilla family depending on their hiking ability and each group is given a park ranger and gorilla trekking takes about 2-6 hours depending on where the gorillas spent their previous night. Upon seeing the gorillas, you will spend maximum 1 hour with these gentle giants for photography and amazing moments. After the trek, you return to the park headquarters where you receive a gorilla trekking certificate.

The Batwa experience will reward you with knowledge about how these people used to live in the forest, admire their traditional music and dances, hand craft making and making fire traditionally. you will thereafter head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

 Day 5: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park and have an evening game drive

Early morning breakfast at the lodge in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park foothills, after breakfast embark on a drive to Lake Mburo National Park. The drive lasts about 5-6 hours. Arriving in the afternoon, you have lunch and prepare for an evening boat cruise at Lake Mburo. On this boat cruise, the possible sightings include crocodiles, hippos, many bird species and many more. After the game drive, you are driven to your booked hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

 

Day 6: Morning game drive and transfer back to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport

On this last day of your Uganda comprehensive safari, you will have breakfast, check out at the lodge and go for morning game drive.  On a lucky day you will spot Zebras, Impalas, Common Eland, African Buffalo, Oribi, Waterbuck, reedbuck, Topi, and many more. Some of the bird species include the Bateleur, Coqui Francolin, Grey Crowned Crane, Rufous Bellied Heron, and many more and then continue on your journey with a stop in masaka for lunch and equator crossing experience   You will most probably arrive in the city in the evening for drop-off either in Kampala or at Entebbe International Airport for a way forward flight.
